Stress can affect your body in a number of ways.

We all have to deal with stress every so often, and while a little stress on an occasional basis won’t hurt you, chronic stress can affect your body and your health in many different ways. If you are having trouble getting pregnant, there’s a chance that chronic stress could be to blame. While more research is needed to truly understand the link between fertility and stress, studies have shown that women who have elevated levels of alpha-amylase, which is an enzyme that is linked to stress, were 12 percent less likely to get pregnant.

#5. Weight Gain

Increased appetite and intense sugar cravings are common side effects of stress, which can lead to weight gain. Additionally, high levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, has been linked to increased weight around the belly and a decreased metabolism.

There’s no doubt about it, stress can affect your body in many different ways.
