Staying comfortable at work during pregnancy isn’t easy, but it’s not impossible!

There’s nothing worse than being stuck at work when you are pregnant and uncomfortable. At University Park Obstetrics and Gynecology, we are dedicated to helping you stay as healthy and happy as possible during your pregnancy, and that’s why our nurse midwife in Bradenton has been giving you tips on how to stay comfortable at work during pregnancy. #4. Pack a healthy lunch and keep a nutritious snack handy. 

Fatigue is a common problem for pregnant women, but staying fueled up on healthy, nutritious foods can help you stay alert and awake. Rather than going out for a burger at lunch or snacking on donuts from the breakroom, fill up on complex carbohydrates and lean proteins to keep you energized.

#5. Don’t be afraid to take breaks. 

We all needs breaks every once in a while, but when you’re pregnant, those breaks are more important than ever. If you sit too long during pregnancy, it increases the risk of blood clots, so it’s important to get up and move around several times throughout the day and at least once every hour.

#6. Keep a water bottle on your desk.

Drinking water is incredibly important during pregnancy for many reasons. Water actually plays a huge role in delivering essential nutrients to your baby, and it can also prevent hemorrhoids and constipation. Water can also help minimize other unpleasant pregnancy symptoms, such as overheating, swelling, headaches and fatigue.
