Stress can affect a woman’s health in a number of ways, and it’s important to learn how to cope with your stress in a healthy way.

Do you feel like you are constantly under stress? If so, you’re not alone. With over-packed schedules and deadlines, we all have a lot on our plates, and we need to figure out how to cope with our stress in healthy, productive ways. As a woman, stress can affect everything from your periods to your ability to conceive, and that’s why we went over several tips for coping with stress in our last blog. Here are a few more tips from our nurse midwife in Bradenton:

#4. Get more sleep.

Did you know that not getting enough sleep can actually cause stress? The flipside of this is that, when you’re stressed, it’s not always easy to sleep, even though your body really needs it. Rather than relying on sleeping pills, focus on truly relaxing and winding down before you hit the hay.

#5. Prioritize your time.

Do you feel like there is more on your to-do list than you have time to handle? You are just one person, and you can only do so much; once you accept this, you can stop trying to do everything and start prioritizing your time. When you schedule out your day and everything you want to get done, your to-do list will start to feel more manageable.

Learning how to cope with stress is an important part of self-care, and it can aid in both emotional and physical health!
